Welcome to a different way of learning....
A different type of harp course:
By keeping the numbers very low – only 4 participants per course, individual needs can be attended to, and personal focus given. Teaching is a combination of tradition and technique tailored to suit whatever level you are at. There is time to address both technical issues such as improving dexterity, left hand coordination, etc, alongside traditional elements - ornamentation, tempos, rhythm, and of course, lots of time to learn new tunes.
You may be a beginner attending a weekly class; a more experienced player wanting to hone your skills; an adult who lacks confidence playing with others, a classical player keen to learn more about traditional music or wanting to extend your repertoire and learn a tune or two by memory.
At the Isle of Skye Harp Retreats, tunes flow as confidence grows. Stories, songs and tunes sit side by side. This is where your music weaves into the music of the group. Where we witness differences and delight in similarities!
The course will involve group and individual taught time, 3 nights accommodation, and all meals
DATES:
There are 4 courses this year. The dates are:
July 25 - 30th 2015
Aug 14 - 17th and Aug 17 - 20th 2015
Nov 20 - 22 2015
